Visitors' Schedule for the San Francisco Vihara
The San Francisco Vihara opens on January 9th at 10:00AM and closes on February 27th.

Visitors are welcome to come for the meal offering (dana) on any day. The meal will be at 11:00AM and people are welcome to arrive anytime after 10:00AM. The nuns must finish eating by 12 noon.
On Fridays two nuns will go on traditional alms round (pindapat) in the local area. There will still be a nun available to receive meal dana at the vihara.
Visitors are welcome to come for 7:30PM evening puja (chanting and meditation) on any day, except Wednesdays and Thurdays. The nuns will keep Noble Silence after the evening pujas.
On Lunar Observance Days, starting on January 18th, there will be an evening puja and Dhamma talk/dialogue with opportunity to request the refuges and precepts. You are welcome to join us for the all night sitting until 4:30AM.

SUNDAYS:
11:00AM meal offering and blessing.
7:30PM pm evening puja.
MONDAYS:
11:00AM meal offering and blessing.
7:30PM evening puja.
TUESDAYS:
11:00AM meal offering and blessing.
7:30PM evening puja.
WEDNESDAYS
11:00AM meal offering and blessing.
There will be no evening puja.
THURSDAYS:
Quiet Day.
The nuns will be on quiet retreat and the vihara will not be open to visitors on this day.
FRIDAYS:
In the morning, two nuns go on traditional alms round (pindapat).
11:00AM meal offering and blessing at the vihara.
7:30PM evening puja and Dhamma talk/dialogue, with opportunity to request the refuges and precepts.
SATURDAYS:
11:00AM meal offering and blessing.
3:00-5:00PM meditation afternoon with instruction and guidance.
5:15PM tea and Dhamma discussion.
7.30PM evening puja with opportunity to request the refuges and precepts.

Exceptions to the Weekly Schedule:
SUNDAYS:
January 11: Supporters meeting at the vihara.
January 18: Half Moon - all night sitting.
January 25: New Moon - all night sitting.
February 15: The vihara will be closed for a Saranaloka board meeting.
MONDAYS:
January 19: The nuns are out for the day.
February 2: Half Moon - all night sitting.
February 9: Full Moon of Magha Puja - all night sitting.
February 16: The vihara will host a meeting for the Bay Area Supporters and Saranaloka board.
February 23: New Moon - all night sitting.
TUESDAYS:
February 17: Half Moon - all night sitting.
WEDNESDAYS:
No exceptions.
THURSDAYS:
No exceptions.
FRIDAYS:
January 9: The vihara opens; there will be no local pindapat on this day. All nuns will be at the vihara to receive the meal offering and for evening puja.
January 16: Luang Por Chah's death anniversary.
February 27: The vihara closes after the meal and clean-up; no evening puja.
SATURDAYS:
February 14: The vihara will be closed for a Saranaloka board meeting.
February 28: Nuns leave San Francisco.
